A 78-year-old woman died after being hit by a car in Noida’s Sector 78. The woman, Krishna Narang was out on an evening walk when the incident took place, on Wednesday. She resided in the Mahagun Moderne Society with her family. The car’s driver immediately took her to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.
The woman’s family refused to proceed with an autopsy, they also declined to file a police complaint. The incident is being investigated. CCTV cameras in the area captured the accident. The video shows the elderly woman slowly walking towards the camera’s view when a car suddenly enters, making her lose consciousness. Residents of the society can be seen rushing forth to help the woman.

The driver of the car has been identified as Gaurav Walia. The accident took place on the premises of the residential society. Apartment Owners Association (AOA) president of Moderne, Parul, said, “We repeatedly urge residents to drive slowly inside the society compound.”
